Bachelor's Degree Thesis on Blockchains

"Blockcerts: a possible standard for autonomous verification of certificates" focused in the area of Blockchain and the creation of unique, unforgeable and easy-to-view digital certificates.

Blockcerts is an open standard for creating, issuing, viewing, and verifying blockchain-based certificates initial design by the MIT Media Lab. These digital records are registered on a blockchain, cryptographically signed, tamper-proof, and shareable. The goal of Blockcerts is to enable a wave of innovation that gives individuals the capacity to possess and share their own official records.
My B.D. Thesis is about using the Blockcerts standard, in my university, as a base to propose the structure of a possible service. The project and its libraries are available within an online repository but are targeted to developers, making the adoption of the project difficult for entities that want to approach it. Throughout my thesis, I explored the various processes behind these libraries by showing how to create and sign custom certificates, either through the use of a Docker container or through your own machine using Bitcoin Core.
Furthermore, my research project aimed at creating an UI, in Python, that allows a user to approach these libraries in a more user-friendly way and without prior knowledge of the project or Bitcoin itself.
